Half a century ago, in 1950 the founder of the group Mr. Aphlaton Khandji started the first endeavor of his business under the company K&K with the aim of introducing all kind of merchandise into the Syrian market and to represent the international exporting companies in Syria.

  In 1957 he directed his trade interests to the Far East countries, especially China. Which at the time was a young industrial country trying to market its products in the whole world. In order to take advantage of the potential business opportunities Mr. Aphlaton Khandji focused on the Chinese market products and started to visit China on regular basis. Essentially being a pioneer in introducing the Chinese products in Syria. China in turn realized the first trade links under the patronage of K&K and this straight business relation flourished over 53 years until today.

  In the early 1960s, he established a sister company specializing in importing and distributing Hair Care & Cosmetics products especially from West Germany. In 1962 the firm of Khandji & Zahka became the sole agent of Wella - Germany in Syria producing and distributing a wide range of Wella hair Care products.

  In 1968 he set up a new trading company under the trade name of Aphlaton Khandji, taking on his own the handling of the international business including importing and exporting of raw materials, chemical products, and machinery.

  His company represented also many of the European companies being their agent and representative in Syria like the firm of Elsa S A in Greece.

  In 1984 he established a new company under the name of Khandji Trading Co. joining the second generation of the family together with him and its aim was to handle a larger business and a wider line of products.

  For over 50 years our late founder Mr. Aphlaton Khandji was workeing very hard to enlarge his companies and to expand their activity successfully and tried his utmost to build up his trading companies reputation in Syria as well as the neighboring countries and the overall Middle East markets.

  Currently, our second generation is enhancing the reputation and values that have been brought to us from our founder and father and thus we continue to forge in his steps in managing and enlarging our companies and their services to our valued clients.
